Ad Astra
Mobile Planetarium provides astronomy and science education for
students and adults in the Wichita, Kansas area and beyond. Using a
6-meter inflatable dome and 4k digital projection system, we create an
immersive environment that can display the night sky as it
appears from any location on Earth at any time in history—or from any
vantage point in the
solar system! Through
high-resolution visuals, narration, and music, the audience learns about
constellations, planets, the structure of the universe, and more. It's
an experience they won't soon forget! Available for schools, libraries,
churches, community centers, private events, and more.

ABOUT
THE PRESENTER
Planetarium presenter RON MALLORY first developed an interest in
astronomy after taking a model rocketry class as an elective in
elementary school, and his observations of Halley's Comet a few years
later cemented this into a lifelong passion. During college he
double-majored for a time in astrophysics and music composition, and
while his professional work has primarily focused on the latter, he has
always maintained an active side career in science education. Ron spent
many years presenting numerous live science shows in schools, libraries,
and museums, as well as planetarium shows under both fixed and portable
domes, before founding Ad Astra Planetarium in 2023. His time spent as
an educator at the high school and middle school levels helped him hone
his teaching technique, and he draws from his arts background to
creatively combine visual elements, music, and the spoken word to
present shows that are both informative and entertaining for children
and adults alike. You can find more about Ron's science education work

"The kids loved it! My own two just kept going on about it and
that's what makes the experience worth it! We will definitely do this
again sometime in the future. Thank you for bringing this amazing
experience to our school!" -Christy, Argonia Public Schools
